President's report

Dear Members:

Our Christmas Party was a great event.  A big thank-you to everyone who helped making it a great party!  The welcoming sound of the Choir and the glögg got us right into the Christmas spirit, and the live music by S-bahn gave us a real Scandinavian Christmas atmosphere, and enjoyable dancing until late at night.  And we all enjoyed the delicious Scandinavian Christmas dinner buffet presented by Kate.

Special thanks to Ken McLean and Arlo Sjöberg who did a fantastic job organizing everything for the party.

Our regular November dinner was also a great event with delicious food.  Stein Gudmundseth our dinner speaker gave us very interesting facts about the high impact of Scandinavian business in Canada, and showed up to date maps of the resolution to various international Arctic land disputes.

Our member Morten Faester left Vancouver in December for a position with AstraZeneca in Europe as Director of Business Development.

The New Year is already upon us with our first dinner on January 11 approaching quickly.  Please note, that our A.G.M. (Annual General Meeting) followed by dinner is on Wednesday February 8.  Please come forward to participate and put in the effort to make S.B.C. stronger.

Our next dinner on January 11 will feature John Mortimer of Labour Watch as our dinner speaker.

This should be a very interesting evening, so tell your friends about it and bring many guests.  See you on Wednesday January 11 at the Club for good fellowship and a great time!

Best Regards,

Skål & God Fortsättning på det Nya Året!

Jan
