Rob Baxter

Rob is a co-founder and principal at Vancouver Renewable Energy Cooperative which installed the first grid-tie photovoltaic system in the city of Vancouver and has since installed over 260 kW of photovoltaic
throughout BC during the past 12 years.  He is also founder and CEO of SolShare Energy, a community-owned renewable energy project in BC.

Rob has served as president of SPEC (Society Promoting Environmental Conservation) and has taught a course on solar energy for Langara College Continuing Studies. He has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Rob has appeared on CityTV, Global TV, CTV and CBC discussing sustainability and energy issues.  He has also spoken at regional green building and energy conferences.

Purpose built for the Sustainability Television crew while filming the INNOVATION in Industry™ series, the mobile office also challenges our thinking around space efficiency, energy efficiency, and our creative imagination.
